The odd consonants (W, Q, Z, X etc) are way over-represented and the vowels are way under-represented. Makes the game not very enjoyable. "Randomly-selected" should be weighted according to frequency of appearance in written text.

The letter pool is 64 letters. 2 W, 1 Q, 1 Z, 1 X. 22 Vowels.

I counted the letter frequencies for all 5-letter words in the Tournament Scrabble Wordlist. If the least frequent letter appears once in the pool, you need a letter pool with 566 letters, as follows: 51 A, 14 B, 19 C, 22 D, 58 E, 10 F, 14 G, 15 H, 33 I, 2 J, 12 K, 31 L, 17 M, 26 N, 38 O, 18 P, 1 Q, 37 R, 59 S, 29 T, 22 U, 6 V, 9 W, 3 X, 18 Y, 3 Z.

A player is lucky to get more than 6-7 vowels in a game. The most common vowel is a "U". On the other hand, I am sure to get at least one and probably 2 "W"s and probably 2 "Y"s.
